एशिया में सर्वाधिक निवेश प्रेमी अर्थव्यवस्था भारत

भारत एशिया की सबसे अधिक निवेश प्रिय अर्थव्यवस्था है। एक सर्वे में सामने आया है कि देश के उभरते धनाढ्य वर्ग की दो-तिहाई से ज्यादा आबादीअपने वित्तीय लक्ष्यों को हासिल करने तथा सामाजिक गतिशीलता बढ़ाने के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार के निवेश उत्पादों का उपयोग करती है। एशिया, अफ्रीका और मध्य पूर्व के 11,000 उभरते धनाढ्य उपभोक्ताओं पर किए अध्ययन में स्टैंडर्ड चार्टर्ड ने पाया कि भारत में इस वर्ग में आने वाले 68 फीसद लोग अपने वित्तीय लक्ष्यों को हासिल करने के लिए निवेश उत्पादों का उपयोग करते हैं। इस मामले में सर्वे का औसत 57 फीसद है।


क्या है 

इस सर्वेक्षण में निश्चित आय निवेश, स्टॉक्स, इक्विटी, म्यूचुअल फंड, यूनिट ट्रस्ट, इन्वेस्टमेंट लिंक्ड इंश्योरेंस, सेल्फ इन्वेस्टेड पेंशन फंड, रियल एस्टेट इन्वेस्टमेंट ट्रस्ट (आरईआइटीएस) और रियल एस्टेट प्रोपर्टी फंड को निवेश उत्पाद माना गया है।

अध्ययन के मुताबिक भारत के उभरते धनाढ्य उपभोक्ताओं के लिए पहला वित्तीय लक्ष्य है अपने बच्चों की शिक्षा के लिए बचत करना। इस अध्ययन में शामिल किए अन्य बाजारों के लिए भी पहला वित्तीय लक्ष्य यही है।

स्टैंडर्ड चार्टर्ड के भारत क्षेत्र के लिए रिटेल बैंकिंग प्रमुख श्यामल सक्सेना ने कहा कि यह देखना उत्साहवर्धक है कि उभरते धनाढ्य वर्ग के बीच सामाजिक गतिशीलता में काफी बढ़ोतरी देखी जा रही है।

वे शिक्षा, करियर और घर के मालिकाना हक के मामले में अपने माता-पिता से अधिक सफल हैं। ‘इमर्जिग एफ्लुएंट स्टडी 2018- क्लाइंबिंग द प्रोस्पैरिटी लैडर’ शीर्षक से प्रकाशित अध्ययन में उभरता धनाढ्य उपभोक्ता ऐसे व्यक्ति को माना गया है, जिनकी आमदनी इतनी ज्यादा है कि वे आराम से बचत व निवेश कर सकता है।

इस अध्ययन में एशिया, अफ्रीका और मध्य-पूर्व के 11 बाजारों को शामिल किया गया है।

भारतीय कंपनियों का वैश्विक निवेश 47 फीसद घटा

विदेश में भारतीय कंपनियों निवेश सितंबर 2018 में 47 फीसद घटकर 1.54 अरब डॉलर रहा। यह बात भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के आउटवार्ड फॉरेन डायरेक्ट इन्वेस्टमेंट (ओएफडीआइ) से संबंधित आंकड़ों में कही गई।

सितंबर 2017 में भारतीय कंपनियों ने विदेश में अपने संयुक्त उद्यमों (जेवी) और पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक इकाइयों में 2.91 अरब डॉलर निवेश किया था। अगस्त महीने में विदेशी कंपनियों में यह निवेश हालांकि महज 99.214 करोड़ डॉलर ही था।

आरबीआइ के ताजा आंकड़े के मुताबिक भारतीय कंपनियों द्वारा सितंबर में विदेश में किए गए कुल निवेश में से 95.082 करोड़ डॉलर कर्ज के रूप में, 25.184 करोड़ डॉलर इक्विटी कैपिटल के रूप में और 35.208 करोड़ डॉलर इश्युएंस ऑफ गारंटी के रूप में थे।


World Giving Index 2018

While Indonesia is the most generous country in the world, India has dropped 43 places to 124 in the list of 146 nations surveyed for the 9th edition of the World Giving Index released by the UK-based Charities Aid Foundation. The index shows that India scores significantly lower than some of its neighbors like Pakistan (91), Sri Lanka (27), Nepal (52) and Bangladesh (74). However, it is placed well above China, which ranks 142 in the Giving Index. So far, India’s best show has been its 2013 ranking of 69.

However, India still has the highest number of people volunteering time to support any cause despite seeing a decline of nearly 13 percentage points since last year in the proportion of people doing so. 

India also has the highest number of people donating money to charity, while it occupies the second spot in the highest number of people helping a stranger.

The World Giving Index is primarily based upon data from Gallup’s WorldView World Poll and includes survey from 146 countries that were collected throughout 2017 that together represent around 95 percent of the world’s population (around 5.2 billion people).

Additionally, almost a third (31%) of people in India reported helping a stranger in 2017, while 20 percent of them said they donated money to charity and 15 percent volunteered their time to support any cause or organization. Libya is the most generous in terms of helping a stranger, where 83% of people reported having done so.

Today’s report shows that three in ten people in India still took the time to help a stranger last year, and one in five had donated money in the month before the survey took place. 
This year the top spot has been vacated by Myanmar, which has dropped down to ninth place, after four years at number one on the Index. 

Indonesia, which came second in 2017, has catapulted itself to the top spot with a World Giving Index score of 59 percent. Australia and New Zealand make up the other countries in this year’s top three, with the United States occupying the 4th spot.

Two countries made their debut in the top 20 this year — Singapore and Haiti. While the index shows high levels of generosity in Haiti, Singapore’s performance has been driven by increases in volunteering and helping a stranger. Interestingly, Singapore ranked as low as 64 just five years ago.

Broken down continent wise, the index reveals an upward trend for Africa with a slight decrease for the Americas. This has led to a narrowing of the giving gap between the continents. 

Six of this year’s top 20 countries in the Giving Index are in Europe and five are in Asia (four of these make it into the top 10). Four of the top 20 are in Africa and three are in the Americas.
